Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nixy Souch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patterson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Let It Burn. Bruce Patterson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson fails to land the takedown.
Patterson is looking to clinch but Souch is avoiding it.
Patterson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Patterson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Patterson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Souch tries to avoid it but Patterson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Souch to the ground. Souch escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Souch counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Patterson!
Nixy Souch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce Patterson.
A lull in the action here as Souch stalls from top position.
Souch creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Patterson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Patterson is trying to work for a sweep but Souch has mounted him!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Souch looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Souch misses with a head shot.

Souch controlling his opponent.
Souch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Souch lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Souch has hold of Patterson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Patterson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Souch cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Souch tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Patterson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Souch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Souch thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Patterson can't escape the position.
Souch controlling from the full mount.
Souch misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Souch lands with some strikes.
Souch controlling the position easily from mount.
Patterson is squirming around, avoiding Souch's attempts to control the action.

Patterson tries to hold on but Souch postures up.

Souch with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Souch unloads with some shots from mount but Patterson bucks and avoids them well.
Souch trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Souch takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Patterson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Souch lands with some strikes.
Patterson is trying to reverse the position but instead Souch has taken his back - oops!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
