Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brittaney Gipson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Thomas Teller!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teller looks to score with a jab to the body but Gipson is just out of range.
Nice straight punches there by Teller. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Teller.
Horrible takedown attempt by Gipson or perhaps it was just good defense by Teller, which made it look bad.
Gipson tries to clinch up
and Teller counters with a straight right hand.
Gipson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Teller sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gipson somewhat.
Gipson tries to clinch but Teller moves away
and Teller counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Teller connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gipson shoots for a double leg takedown but Teller sprawls well. He's pushed Gipson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brittaney Gipson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gipson closes the distance and clinches up with Teller, looking for a takedown. Gipson pushes Teller against the cage but Teller circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Brittaney Gipson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Teller takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Gipson looks for a takedown but Teller sprawls well.
Teller slaps away a takedown attempt from Gipson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gipson is breathing heavily.

Teller scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Teller lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Gipson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Teller as he jumps to the side.
Teller changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Nice uppercut lands for Teller. That snapped Gipson's head back.
Gipson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gipson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Teller to score with a decent uppercut.
Teller tests Gipson's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Teller connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Oh Gipson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Teller throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Teller throws a good cross that connects.
Gipson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Teller avoids it really well and circles away.
Gipson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gipson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gipson seems to have got his legs back now.
No luck for Gipson with that takedown attempt.
Teller scores with a punch to the head.
Gipson walks into a jab.
Teller connects with a jab.
Teller displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gipson.
Teller uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gipson has time to react.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Teller lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Good exchange - Teller coming out on top.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gipson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Teller swivels and escapes.
Teller slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Gipson tries to move into range but Teller moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Gipson fails to land with a series of punches.
Teller feints a jab promting Gipson to slip. Teller then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gipson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Thomas Teller dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Gipson dives in for a single leg takedown but Teller sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Teller has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Teller escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gipson closes the distance and clinches up with Teller, looking for a takedown. Gipson pushes Teller against the cage but Teller circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No luck for Gipson with that takedown attempt.

Teller goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gipson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Gipson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

and Teller counters with a left and a right that stings Gipson.
Gipson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gipson looks to land a body kick but Teller moved away.
Teller dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Teller drops Gipson with a beautiful combination! Gipson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Teller is looking for the KO!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gipson looks up at the clock. Bad move! Teller lands a right hand from hell, dropping Gipson. Teller pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
