Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robin Sir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatenda Ihejirika (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sir's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Genetikk - Yes Sir. Robin Sir has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tatenda Ihejirika!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Ihejirika.


It looks like Robin Sir has been cut.
Sir with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ihejirika to score with a decent uppercut.
Sir tries to clinch there but Ihejirika circles away.
Ihejirika digs a good body shot into Sir's ribs.
Sir ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ihejirika moves away.
Sir tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Sir definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ihejirika. Sir does a little dance to reset his feet.

It looks like Tatenda Ihejirika has been cut.
Sir throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

A quick step to the side and Sir tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ihejirika lands a nice looking body shot.

Sir swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ihejirika.
A slow jab from Sir misses its intended target.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Sir creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Sir can't find room to land a body shot as Ihejirika controls the action.
Ihejirika tries to stall but Sir uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Sir swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Sir misses with a punch on the inside.
Ihejirika is working Sir over against the ropes.
Sir is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Ihejirika is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Sir is keeping busy.

Sir presses Ihejirika against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Ihejirika lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sir backwards.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Sir has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ihejirika avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Ihejirika is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Ihejirika tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sir's elbow.
Sir goes for a takedown attempt but Ihejirika pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robin Sir. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ihejirika misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ihejirika throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sir wants to clinch.
Ihejirika swings for the body but Sir moves out of range.
Sir slips a straight right by Ihejirika.
As Ihejirika tries to get set, Sir tries to push him back and clinch up but Ihejirika manages to avoid the attempt.
Ihejirika falls off balance throwing a combination

and Sir counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Ihejirika!


Ihejirika is rocked!
Sir wants to control but Ihejirika is keeping him busy.
Ihejirika felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Ihejirika wants to improve his position but Sir is controlling well.
Sir content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Sir will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sir is looking to stall here but Ihejirika recovers full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ihejirika not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sir connects with a couple of short punches.
Ihejirika is trying to control the position but Sir postures up.
Sir throwing strikes but missing.
Sir content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Ihejirika is still in real trouble! Can Sir finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sir loads up on a big left hand. Ihejirika felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Sir looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Ihejirika can't hide his disappointment, as Sir celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robin Sir!
A determined Robin Sir didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
