The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batakovic tries to clinch but Shambles moves out of range.
Shambles tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Batakovic shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Batakovic showed some decent athleticism there.
Shambles is trying to control but can't.
Batakovic is keen to just control but Shambles is a slippery customer.

Batakovic is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Shambles sees it coming and defends easily.
Shambles is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Batakovic's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Batakovic's back!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shambles is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
