Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Ben Hemmingworth and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skipworth drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gordon tries to buck Skipworth off but Skipworth is having none of it.
Skipworth wants to control but Gordon is keeping him busy.
Gordon striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Gordon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Skipworth lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Gordon down.
Gordon tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Skipworth wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gordon keeps working.
Gordon is looking for a sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gordon tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Gordon tries to buck Skipworth off but Skipworth is having none of it.
Gordon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Skipworth is working Gordon over with some ground and pound from side control.
Gordon is not content to let Skipworth control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gordon misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Gordon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Skipworth avoids the strikes from the bottom by Gordon.
Skipworth is putting a hurting on Gordon here, landing some big shots from side control.
Gordon tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Gordon is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Skipworth's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Skipworth is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
