Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Charlie Ray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, KO King!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
King swings for the body but Ray moves out of range.
Ray is looking to clinch.
Ray is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ray shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ray could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A shot to the liver by King. Beautiful body shot.
King changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ray tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. King manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
King listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
It looks like Charlie Ray has been cut.
Ray tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A jab from King finds it's way through Ray's defenses.
Ray throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around King's waist but King gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ray off to one side.
Ray tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but King paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A shot to the liver by King. Beautiful body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
King lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ray at a distance.
Ray is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ray is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Ray is rocked!
King scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ray doesn't seem bothered though.
Oh Ray is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
King connects with a body shot that sends Ray's belly button to the back.
Ray bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! King comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Ray falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Ray was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). KO King!
