Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Li Fen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry McKean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fen comes into the arena with Its The Final Countdown blaring out of the sound system. McKean has chosen Korn - Shoots and Ladders as his entrance music. Li Fen has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
McKean lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Fen backs up against the cage.

It looks like Li Fen has been cut.

Fen shoots in and bounces McKean off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
McKean is trying to control the position but Fen postures up.
McKean keeping full guard, as Fen tries to pass.
McKean is looking to stand up but Fen isn't so interested in that idea.

Fen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Fen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Fen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Fen throws the left hand but McKean avoids the punch easily.

McKean wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Fen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McKean's waist but McKean gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fen off to one side.
McKean throws a right hand that Fen ducks under and follows up with a left that Fen also avoids with ease.

Fen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

McKean gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
McKean moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Fen is looking to advance position but McKean has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Fen is in all sorts of trouble here.

McKean is standing up, even though he is in mount.
McKean keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McKean.

Barry McKean showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

McKean throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fen fails with an attempt to clinch.
McKean slips a jab from Fen.
Fen has a takedown stuffed.
Fen shoots in for a takedown but McKean shows good takedown defense.

Fen doesn't manage to clinch there - McKean circles away.
Li Fen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

McKean takes a swing at Fen's ribcage but misses.
McKean avoids the head kick by Fen.
McKean thows a body shot but no joy.
McKean is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Fen rather than just go for the knockout.

Fen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McKean's guard.

Fen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McKean manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fen has McKean in his guard.

Fen isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. McKean stacks Fen on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by McKean!

McKean decides to stand up, so the ref orders Fen to his feet.

McKean throws a series of punches but Fen avoids them all with ease.

McKean wants to control but Fen is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Fen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fen is working for a kimura but McKean is defending it quite comfortably.
