Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raijin Kage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Borin Chim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kage comes to the cage accompanied by Gojira - Oroborus. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raijin Kage!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Borin Chim!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kage looks to land a body kick but Chim moved away.
Chim misses with a body shot.
Kage tries to counter with a takedown but Chim is quick to defend against it.
Kage misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kage backing away here, and Chim unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Chim chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kage can pounce on him.
Chim misses with a head kick.
Kage misses with a body kick.
Kage looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kage bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Chim misses with a low kick.
Kage half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Chim looks for the body kick but Kage saw that one coming.
Chim throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kage throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kage fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Borin Chim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kage gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chim throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Chim scores with a head kick.


It looks like Raijin Kage has been cut.
Chim misses with a lunging right hand

so Kage counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Kage looking to sit in guard and control but Chim gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

I've been told that Chim has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Kage working for a triangle but Chim defends it easily.

Kage has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chim can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Chim throws a big elbow that misses.

Kage tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Chim trying to control the position from guard on top but Kage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kage is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kage has momentary wrist control but Chim slips an elbow through the middle.
Chim loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kage is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kage is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chim makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Chim.
Kage trying to control the position from guard on top but Chim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kage keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Chim's head.
Kage wants to pass the guard but Chim is keeping the position.
Chim is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kage trying to control the position from guard on top but Chim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kage works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Kage trying to pass the guard but Chim defending well.
Chim is refusing to be controlled, as Kage sits in half guard.
Chim has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kage is working away from the top position though.
Chim avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kage.
Kage trying to advance position but Chim counters by regaining guard.
Kage preventing the sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raijin Kage dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Raijin Kage's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kage needs to keep his hands up - Chim had a free shot at his head there.
Chim paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kage avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Chim misses with a looping left.
Kage throws a chopping leg kick but Chim manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Chim swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kage fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Chim scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Chim is looking to land body kicks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chim misses with a looping right.
Chim throws a leg kick which misses Kage's front leg but catches the back leg as Kage tries to avoid it.
Chim throws a hook to the side of Kage's head but Kage sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kage finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Chim scores with a three punch combo!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chim comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kage lands a leg kick that knocks Chim off balance momentarily.
A slow jab from Chim misses its intended target.
Chim lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Chim looks to score with a jab to the body but Kage is just out of range.

Kage closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Chim's guard.
Kage postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Chim seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Kage advances position into side control!
Kage tries to advance to mount but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chim struggling a bit here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chim is looking for a sweep.
Chim is trying to escape the position but Kage is controlling the position.
Chim is not content to let Kage control the position.

Kage looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Chim gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kage trying to mount his opponent but Chim defends it.

Kage is trying to work for a kimura but Chim is defending well.

Kage is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kage wants to pass the guard but Chim is defending well.
Raijin Kage overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kage trying to control from Chim's half guard. Chim has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kage slips nicely into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Chim moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Chim looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Kage is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Chim has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Kage is looking to defend but Chim has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Kage! Chim pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Kage taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Borin Chim!
Borin Chim is the new lightweight champion!
