Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Ming (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Aaron Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Ming!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight throws a series of punches but Ming moves out of range.
Knight moves out of range of the strikes.

Ming takes the fight into the clinch.
Ming tries to work over Knight's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Ming misses with a knee to the head.
Nice elbow from Ming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knight's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Ming throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Knight blocks it with crossed arms.

Ming cracks Knight with a nice body shot.

Ming breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ming on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Knight avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ming scoring well with a low kick there.

Ming throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Knight counters with a two punch combo.
Ming scores with a punch to the head.
Knight keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ming.
Knight rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ming moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ming doesn't manage to clinch there - Knight circles away.

Knight takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Knight counters with a series of strikes. Ming will be more careful next time no doubt.
Ming looks to score with a jab to the body but Knight is just out of range.
Ming fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Knight manages to avoid it.
Ming misses with the combination.
Ming looks to land a left hand but Knight moved out of range nicely.
Ming tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Knight paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Knight appears to be looking for a big counter.
Ming avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ming was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Knight went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Ming tries to clinch up but Knight circles away and keeps his distance.
Knight appears to be looking for a big counter.
Knight on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Ming counters with a nice uppercut.

I was talking to Knight's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Knight escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Knight scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ming is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Knight closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looked like Knight was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Knight slips a jab from Ming.
As Ming looks to move away, Knight throws a big counter combo bu Ming just gets out of the way.
Ming connects with a stiff jab that staggers Knight - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Paul Ming!
An out of breath Paul Ming thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
