Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sam Slapper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ozzie Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Price has chosen Killer Mike - Big Beast as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Slapper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ozzie Price!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slapper lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Price looks for the body kick but Slapper saw that one coming.
Ozzie Price seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slapper takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Price scores with a body shot.
Price defending well as Slapper loads up on a big left hand.
Price scores with a jab to the jaw.
Price lands a really nice looking cross but Slapper seems unphased.
Price lands with a nice body kick.
Price throws a nice outside leg kick.
Slapper thows a left - swing and a miss!
Price smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Price. Slapper shrugs it off though.
Price throws a wild body kick that Slapper sees coming a mile off.

Slapper misses with a hook. Price ducked under it nicely.
Price takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Slapper throws a body punch but Price moves out of range.

Slapper misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
It seemed like Price was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Slapper throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Price lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Price thows a left - swing and a miss!

Price fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Slapper avoids it really well and circles away.

Price lands a body shot.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Price has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Slapper tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Price throws a looping overhand right but Slapper ducks down to avoid it.
Slapper misses with a looping left.
Price throws an overhand right that lands on Slapper's shoulder, as Slapper tries to avoid the shot.
Price slips under a jab from Slapper.
Price moves away from the strike by Slapper.
Slapper checks the leg kick nicely there.
Price lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Slapper at a distance.
Price lands a nice looking body kick.
Slapper throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Price sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Price throws a hook to the side of Slapper's head but Slapper sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Price bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Slapper's head.
Nice uppercut lands for Price. That snapped Slapper's head back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Slapper moves into range and connects with a jab.
Price scoring well with a low kick there.
Nice defenses there by Price.

Price fakes the leg kick and cracks Slapper in the body.
Price with a hook.
Price wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A shot to the liver by Price. Beautiful body shot.
Slapper misses with an uppercut. Price saw that one coming.
Price throws a jab when Slapper was well out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Slapper misses the target.
Slapper thows a left - swing and a miss!
Price looks to score with a jab to the body but Slapper is just out of range.

Price changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Slapper looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Price tries for a kimura but Slapper is defending well.
Slapper knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Price on the ground.

Price looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Slapper is avoiding damage well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Slapper is trying to get back to half guard.
Slapper taking punishment in the form of punches.
Slapper avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Price.
Slapper is trying to improve his position.
Price trying to control the action but Slapper is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Slapper tries to bench press Price off him but Price keeps the position.
Price landing a few strikes.
Price scores with a couple of short elbows.
Slapper is working to avoid the ground and pound but Price connects with a decent elbow.
Slapper on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Slapper tries to get out of the position.
Price working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Price looks up at the clock and then as Slapper takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Price smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Price lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Slapper down.

Oh Slapper is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Price is looking to take a break and control but Slapper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Price in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Slapper is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ozzie Price!
A very excited looking Ozzie Price rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
