The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vines looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Vines moves out of range of the strikes.
Parker swinging wildly here.
Vines avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Vines chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Parker can pounce on him.
Vines slips a straight right by Parker.
Corey Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vines moves out of range as Parker strikes.
Parker waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vines.
Vines fails in his attempt to clinch.
Parker throws the left hand but Vines avoids the punch easily.
Parker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Vines dives in and grabs Parker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Parker pushes down on Vines's head and hops out.
A nice inside leg kick there by Parker. That's going to slow Vines down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Parker stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Parker misses with a wild combination.
Vines motions for Parker to come forward. Vines throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Vines ducks under a wild hook from Parker.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vines throws the left hand but Parker avoids the punch easily.
Vines misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Parker.

Parker is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Vines changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Vines ducks under a wild hook from Parker.
Vines is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Parker with a body shot.

Parker has Vines up against the cage in a clinch.
Parker throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Viness head.
Parker lands with a short shot to the head.
A right hook to the body lands for Parker.
Vines looks winded!

Parker drops Vines with a big right hand! Parker charges in looking to finish - Vines manages to keep Parker in his guard and seems to have recovered somewhat.

Vines is rocked!

It looks like L Manning Vines has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parker pushing down on Vines's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Vines is still in real trouble! Can Parker finish him?
Parker content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Parker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vines with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Parker uses his free foot to push down on Vines's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Vines.
Parker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Parker unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Vines wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Parker celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
