Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rupert D Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lamont Murphy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rupert D Bear!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Rupert D Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
D Bear tries a head kick but it misses.
A shot to the liver by Murphy. Beautiful body shot.
Murphy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Murphy gets caught napping as D Bear dives in and scores a takedown. Murphy manages to retain guard.

Murphy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

D Bear stands and steps away. Murphy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Murphy has his foot on D Bear's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. D Bear works his way back into a safe position though.

Murphy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. D Bear doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. D Bear manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Murphy throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
You can see the frustration on Murphy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
D Bear advances nicely into full mount.
Murphy wants to hold on but D Bear pushes him away.
Murphy is bucking up trying to escape but D Bear cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
D Bear is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Murphy is in real trouble.

D Bear lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Murphy hold on?!

D Bear really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murphy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



D Bear manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Murphy on his heels. He'll look to pass Murphy's guard now, I'm sure.

Murphy wants to control but D Bear is keeping busy and won't allow it.

D Bear decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Murphy postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! D Bear is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Murphy, into his guard.

D Bear stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murphy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

D Bear got a little sloppy there for a moment and Murphy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, D Bear has managed to get both his arms back between Murphy's legs - danger averted.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Murphy drops back looking for a leg! D Bear is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and D Bear manages to kick Murphy off! Murphy jumps back into D Bear's guard.
D Bear utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
D Bear thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

D Bear escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Murphy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Murphy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Rupert D Bear showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!



Murphy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. D Bear was covering up waiting for the punch and Murphy finishes the takedown easily into guard.
D Bear controls Murphy momentarily but Murphy frees himself.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Murphy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

D Bear is trying to hold Murphy in close to prevent damage but Murphy has managed to pass into half guard.

Murphy seems to be working for a kimura but D Bear defends the submission attempt.
D Bear wants to control but Murphy is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if D Bear can do anything to dispel that myth.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
D Bear has a hand on Murphy's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Murphy takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Murphy lands a big shot there that rocks D Bear but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
D Bear sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
D Bear is looking for a sweep. Murphy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
D Bear takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Murphy lands a nice short elbow.

D Bear gets back to full guard.

D Bear has momentary wrist control but Murphy slips an elbow through the middle.

Murphy postures up and lands a big shot to D Bear's brow.
D Bear avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

D Bear working for a triangle but Murphy defends it easily.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Murphy tries to close the distance and clinch up but D Bear swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lamont Murphy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Rupert D Bear is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Murphy wants to clinch up but D Bear keeps it at a distance.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lamont Murphy showed his dominance in that final round.
Well D Bear has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
