Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Achilles Leonidas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Gouken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonidas comes to the cage accompanied by Whom Shall I Fear. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Leonidas misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gouken takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Achilles Leonidas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leonidas works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

It looks like Scott Gouken has been cut.
Leonidas fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Leonidas cracks Gouken with a right hand to the side of the head.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Leonidas.
Gouken scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Leonidas doesn't seem bothered though.

We've been told by Leonidas's head coaches at Irish Collar-and-Elbow Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Leonidas throws a hook but Gouken avoids it easily.

Gouken swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gouken fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Leonidas is out of range.

Leonidas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A slapping body kick lands there for Leonidas.
Gouken checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Leonidas scores with a sloppy right hand. Gouken should have avoided that one.

Gouken tries to keep at a distance but Leonidas has taken the fight into the clinch.

Leonidas pushes Gouken back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Gouken is looking to break free of the clinch but Leonidas has double underhooks.

Gouken has Leonidas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Leonidas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Achilles Leonidas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Gouken.
Leonidas misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Leonidas drops Gouken with a big knee straight up the middle! Gouken is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Leonidas feints and then cracks Gouken's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gouken down.
Gouken gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Leonidas gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Gouken is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Achilles Leonidas!
