Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Tran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Trinh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ethan Tran has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ethan Tran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Trinh!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tran dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Trinh. That did some damage!

Tran manages to break the clinch.

Tran tries to sprawl but Trinh drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Tran might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Trinh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tran with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Trinh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tran. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Trinh is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Tran misses with a looping left.
Nice takedown defense from Tran. No joy for Trinh on that attempt.

Ethan Tran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Trinh.
Tran lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Trinh clinches.
Tran has had enough of the clinch but Trinh keeps him there for the moment.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Trinh thows an elbow strike that misses. Tran gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Trinh doesn't seem too bothered but Tran quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Trinh is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Trinh really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
