Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filthy McNasty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko comes into the arena with Led Zeppelin: Kashmir blaring out of the sound system. Sergei Emelianenko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko throws a nice looking combination but McNasty bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Emelianenko scores with a nice strike.

Emelianenko is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McNasty.
McNasty takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Emelianenko takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

McNasty shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Emelianenko's guard.
McNasty wants to control from the top but Emelianenko keeps moving.

Emelianenko is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
McNasty lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Emelianenko wants to get back to full guard.

McNasty seems to be working for a kimura but Emelianenko defends the submission attempt.
Emelianenko is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McNasty's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McNasty's back!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

McNasty is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Emelianenko doesn't have the hooks in and McNasty manages to turn into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Filthy McNasty has been cut.
McNasty bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Emelianenko's guard.

McNasty thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Emelianenko manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McNasty is trying to escape the mount.
Emelianenko fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Emelianenko has control of McNasty's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McNasty regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McNasty manages to escape and get back to his feet!

McNasty buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Emelianenko connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
McNasty is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Emelianenko rather than just go for the knockout.
McNasty looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

McNasty changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Emelianenko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Emelianenko tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McNasty wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Emelianenko is working hard here to advance position.
McNasty wants to lay and pray for a moment but Emelianenko keeps working.

McNasty blocks Emelianenko's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Emelianenko has left one of his arms exposed and McNasty doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Emelianenko screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
