The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Folganes has closed the distance and engaged Doria in a clinch.

Doria jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Folganes walks away with a smile on his face. Doria gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Alexandre Doria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doria throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

The fight stays on the outside here - Folganes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Doria buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Folganes shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Doria eats them both and turns towards Folganes to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Doria's jab looks to have found its range, popping Folganes under the eye.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Doria! Folganes is out on his feet! Doria rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Folganes is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Folganes is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
