Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Speedy Atkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Mannetosen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Atkins's entrance music is big in japan. A fine choice. Mannetosen has chosen Krav as his entrance music. Manny Mannetosen has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Speedy Atkins's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Speedy Atkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Manny Mannetosen!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Atkins closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Mannetosen blocking some punches.
Mannetosen tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Atkins working aggressively here.
Atkins is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Mannetosen struggles to land a body shot inside as Atkins controls his hands.

We've been hearing good reports from Atkins's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Mannetosen just misses with a elbow thrown towards Atkins's brow.

Mannetosen is trying to trip Atkins. He has hold of a leg but Atkins is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mannetosen persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Atkins throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mannetosen escapes and throws Atkins's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Mannetosen in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Atkins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mannetosen is just riding it out for now. Atkins eventually gives up the hold.

Mannetosen felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Atkins has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Mannetosen! Can he survive? No! He's out! Atkins gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Speedy Atkins!
A very excited looking Speedy Atkins rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
