Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brock Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar fails with a takedown attempt.
Reid avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lesnar tries to clinch but Reid moves away

and Reid counters with a takedown into side control.
Lesnar is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Reid's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Lesnar is refusing to be controlled, as Reid sits in half guard.
Lesnar wants to improve his position but Reid is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lesnar manages to get to full guard.

Reid postures up.
Lesnar has control of Reid's left arm, preventing Reid from doing any damage.
Reid trying to control but Lesnar is working from the bottom.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lesnar wants to control but Reid passes easily into half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
It looks like Reid is going to stand back up.
Lesnar is looking for a sweep. Reid is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lesnar keeps trying to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lesnar shoots in looking for a takedown. Reid tries to sprawl out of it but Lesnar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reid manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lesnar fails with a takedown attempt.
Merle Reid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar avoids a kick to the body.
Lesnar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Reid circles away.

Lesnar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Reid looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Reid is trying to get back to his feet.
Reid is looking for a sweep.
Reid knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lesnar on the ground.
Reid scores with a shot to the body.
Lesnar wants to stand but Reid has his arm trapped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reid is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Lesnar trying to control the action but Reid is working from the bottom.

Reid manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Lesnar is trying to stand back up but Reid is controlling him
Lesnar slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Reid looking to sit in guard and control but Lesnar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lesnar wants to control from the top but Reid keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Merle Reid dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Lesnar is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lesnar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Horrible takedown attempt by Reid or perhaps it was just good defense by Lesnar, which made it look bad.
Brock Lesnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reid slaps away a takedown attempt from Lesnar, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lesnar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lesnar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lesnar is defended easily by Reid.

Lesnar dives in and grabs Reid's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reid pushes down on Lesnar's head and hops out.

Reid rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lesnar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lesnar cracks Reid with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Lesnar shoots in but Reid avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Lesnar lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Merle Reid has been cut.
Reid doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Lesnar counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Reid jumps into guard, dragging Lesnar to the mat.
Reid thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Reid working for submissions but it's allowed Lesnar to get to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Reid wants to get back to his feet.

Reid is in trouble now - Lesnar has advanced to mount!
Lesnar prevents Reid from getting the reversal.
Lesnar trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Reid keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Lesnar trying to control but Reid is having none of it.

Lesnar is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Reid has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The referee warns Reid that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Lesnar tries to control but Reid wriggling away.

Lesnar quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Lesnar but it's paid off an Reid is forced to tap! Nice work by Lesnar.
