Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alvaro Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Estevem Aero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Estevem Aero told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aero manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Boyd on his heels. He'll look to pass Boyd's guard now, I'm sure.
Boyd lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Aero has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Boyd has passed into side control.
Aero is looking for a sweep.
Aero is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Boyd is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aero tries to bench press Boyd off him but Boyd keeps the position.
Boyd really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Boyd wants to stand but Aero is controlling his arm.
Aero tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Boyd presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aero tries to hold on but Boyd postures up.

Aero is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Boyd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aero on the ground.

Boyd lands a couple of good shots and Aero has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Aero has gone for a leg lock! Boyd slips out almost immediately though and dives into Aero's guard.

Aero is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Boyd has his hands clasped together but Aero extends and breaks Boyd's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Aero.
