Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Olin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, The Steel Penn!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel Penn scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Steel Penn with a poor takedown

and Olin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Olin.
Olin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Steel Penn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Olin throws an elbow that misses. Steel Penn uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Olin's guard. Nice move by Steel Penn!

I've been told that Steel Penn has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.
Olin seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Olin is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Steel Penn is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Olin is squirming around, avoiding Steel Penn's attempts to control the action.
Olin gets back to half guard.
Olin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Steel Penn uses his free foot to push down on Olin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Olin.

Steel Penn jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Olin is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Olin and Steel Penn has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Olin is trying to control Steel Penn's posture but Steel Penn avoids it.

Steel Penn is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Olin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Steel Penn wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Olin, who protects the arm well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Olin prevents Steel Penn from improving position.
Olin tries to improve position but can't.

Steel Penn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Olin keeps working.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Steel Penn tries for a kimura but Olin is defending well.

Steel Penn might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Olin haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Steel Penn misses with a looping right.
Steel Penn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Steel Penn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Olin's waist but Olin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Steel Penn off to one side.

and Olin counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Steel Penn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Olin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Olin's back!
Olin tries to escape but Steel Penn has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Olin rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Olin is trying to control but can't.

Steel Penn is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steel Penn frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Olin regains half guard.
Steel Penn is looking to pass Olin's guard but actually Olin recovers to full guard.

Olin tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Steel Penn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Jack Olin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Olin pulls Steel Penn in to control the position.

Olin has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Steel Penn is looking to advance position but Olin has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Steel Penn is in a horrible position here. Olin smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
BOOM! Olin connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Olin looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Olin is landing with some decent strikes but Steel Penn is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee warns Steel Penn that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Steel Penn is trying desperately to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Olin dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Steel Penn bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Olin's head backwards.
Steel Penn missing with a left hand there. Olin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Steel Penn takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Steel Penn is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Olin scores with punches from side control.
Steel Penn is still in real trouble! Can Olin finish him?
A big shot lands for Olin! That's hurt Steel Penn! Will he recover? Olin fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
