Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ross Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quit Quit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Woods comes to the cage accompanied by skillet-monster. Ross Woods could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Quit Quit's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Woods!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Quit Quit!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods shoots in and drives through. Quit sprawls well.
Nice uppercut there from Quit.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Woods enables Quit to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Woods manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Woods is trying to keep Quit in close.
Quit throwing strikes from guard but Woods blocks nicely.
Quit cracks Woods with a solid left hand.
Quit pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Woods is keeping the position for now.
Quit preventing the sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quit controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Let's hope that Quit has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Quit drives through with a takedown into guard.
Quit sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Woods looking for subs off his back but Quit has passed one foot through into half guard.

Quit is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Woods sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quit is controlling the pace.
Quit's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Quit is thwarting Woods's attempts to control the position.

Quit performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Woods is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Quit pushes Woods up against the cage in a clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Quit gets through Woods's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Quit stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Quit manages to break the clinch.
Woods throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Quit Quit has been cut.
Ross Woods seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Woods takes a jab right on the kisser.
Woods misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Quit lands a head kick. Woods smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Woods throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Quit gets the takedown into side control.

Quit has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Quit closes the distance and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Quit Quit's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Woods shoots for a takedown but Quit saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Quit bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Quit decides to stand back up.
Quit throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Quit shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Quit with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Woods wants to control but Quit is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Quit tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Woods.
Woods is in trouble now - Quit has advanced to mount!

Woods really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Quit gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Quit lands a big head kick that sends Woods tumbling to the mat! Quit takes a step backwards and waves Woods back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Woods is rocked!


It looks like Ross Woods has been cut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Oh Woods is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Quit has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Woods clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Woods seems to have got his legs back now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Quit has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Woods trying to control the action but Quit just sinks the hooks in.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
What can Woods do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Quit is continuing to stall.

Quit is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Quit scores with punches from the back.

Quit tightening his grip on Woods, looking for the choke.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Quit is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Woods is having to fend off submission attempts from Quit, who is looking to sink in the choke. Quit doesn't have the hooks in though and Woods manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
Woods postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quit Quit showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Quit throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Woods was covering up waiting for the punch and Quit finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Quit controls from within his opponent's guard.
Quit Quit has got the better of the ground game so far.
Quit postures up and lands a big shot to Woods's brow.
Quit content to stall in guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Woods is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Quit stands up and waves to Woods to follow him.

Quit gets a double leg takedown into Woods's guard.
Quit seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Woods tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Woods looks to clinch
and Quit counters with a left and a right that stings Woods.
Quit throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Quit fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Woods, pushing him back against the cage.
Woods is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Quit gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Quit has hold of one of Woods's legs. Woods is fighting the takedown attempt but Quit gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Quit not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Quit has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Woods is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Woods is striking but Quit is not phased and passes to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Quit uses his free foot to push down on Woods's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Woods.

Quit lands a nice shot to the head.

Quit controlling his opponent.
Quit unloading with bombs!
Woods is desperately trying to improve his position but Quit has a good base and remains in mount.

Quit jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Woods is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Woods and Quit has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Quit decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Quit fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Woods.

Quit closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Quit lands in his opponent's guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Quit working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Quit controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Quit stopping the sweep attempt from Woods.

And that's the end of the fight!
Quit Quit comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Quit has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
