PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Virtua Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shields comes into the arena with Bad Boyz do Bad Thingz blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Virtua Fish!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fish fails in his attempt to clinch.
Fish tries to clinch up but Shields circles away and keeps his distance.
Fish misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fish tries to clinch there but Shields circles away.
Fish moves in looking to clinch but Shields pushes him off.
Fish throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Shields feints and as Fish raises his hands in defense, Shields changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Shields tries to free his leg and advance position but Fish is retaining full guard.
Shields postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fish keeping full guard, as Shields tries to pass.
Shields is pushing down on Fish's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fish is fighting to maintain full guard but Shields has managed to sneak the leg through.
Shields slips a nice elbow through Fish's hands, connecting with Fish's forehead.
Shields lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Fish is looking to escape.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shields connects with a nice short shot to Fish's temple.

Shields moves into full mount! Fish won't be happy about that!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shields lands with some strikes.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Shields! Fish is hurt baaadly! Shields is firing away with more strikes - Fish is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
