Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sum tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Sum takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kidd looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sum goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kidd has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sum but great work by Kidd.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kidd working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sum throws a series of strikes that have Kidd backpedaling.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sum loads up on a big left hand. Kidd felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Sum looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Kidd can't hide his disappointment, as Sum celebrates the victory.
