Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between paulo guston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Machete Juarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juarez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Remember the Name kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juarez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
guston is defending against the submission attempts here by Juarez.
guston is trying to maintain the position but Juarez is very close to passing his half guard.
guston wants to get back to full guard.
Juarez looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
guston is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

guston is looking to control Juarez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can guston avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
guston wants to sweep but Juarez has passed to side control!
guston tries to improve position but can't.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Juarez is looking to clinch but guston is avoiding it.
Juarez closes the distance and clinches.
guston tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Juarez smiles and moves away.
Juarez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming guston to the mat! guston manages to get full guard.
guston is working an open guard so Juarez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Juarez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Juarez lands in his opponent's guard.
guston bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Juarez's guard.
guston is breathing heavily.

Juarez throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Juarez looking for a guillotine here but guston defends easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Juarez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
guston trying to control the position from guard on top but Juarez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
guston avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
guston looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Juarez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. guston gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

guston trying to control but Juarez is working from the bottom.
Juarez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Juarez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. guston is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Juarez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take guston's back instead.
guston defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Juarez's arms.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
guston looking very determined here, making life difficult for Juarez.
Juarez is looking for the choke from the back position but guston is controlling his hands well.
guston trying to control the action but Juarez just sinks the hooks in.
Juarez has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Juarez is trying to stick to guston's back but guston is turning into Juarez. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Juarez's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by guston.

Machete Juarez dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Juarez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
guston is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Juarez tries for a kimura but guston is defending well.
Juarez throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
An elbow from Juarez crashes against the mat.

guston is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Juarez in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... guston is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
