Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Teodoro Sawyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bernard Bragg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Teodoro Sawyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bernard Bragg!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bragg moves into the clinch successfully.

Bragg has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sawyer is trying to keep an underhook but Bragg manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Sawyer is looking for a sweep. Bragg is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sawyer is concentrating on defense, preventing Bragg from advancing position.
Sawyer tries to kick Bragg off in order to stand up. Bragg Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Bragg goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sawyer has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bragg but great work by Sawyer.
You can see the frustration on Bragg's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bragg throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Sawyer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bragg keeps working.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bragg is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sawyer asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sawyer working away.
Bragg tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Sawyer easily slips into full mount!
Bragg is desperately trying to improve his position but Sawyer has a good base and remains in mount.
Bragg tries to hold on but Sawyer postures up.
Sawyer looking to control but Bragg is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bragg wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Sawyer.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bragg can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sawyer controlling the position easily from mount.
Sawyer looking to control but Bragg is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bragg is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bragg might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sawyer haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Sawyer controlling the position easily from mount.
Bragg is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Teodoro Sawyer will probably get the nod.
That's time! Sawyer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Bragg has Sawyer up against the cage in a clinch.

Sawyer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Bragg closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sawyer did well to prevent Bragg getting side control.

Bragg decides to stand and escape the position.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sawyer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bragg walks away with a smile on his face. Sawyer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bragg fails to land with a series of punches.
Sawyer tries to clinch there but Bragg circles away.
Bragg has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Bragg throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sawyer was covering up waiting for the punch and Bragg finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bragg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sawyer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sawyer tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bragg controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Bragg trying to control the position from guard on top but Sawyer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Bragg drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sawyer looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sawyer looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sawyer!

Bragg is trying to get back to half guard.
Bragg can't do much from the bottom here.
Bragg is trying to work for a sweep but Sawyer has mounted him!

Bragg wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sawyer trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Bragg is working to get back to half guard.
Bragg keeps trying to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sawyer sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Sawyer can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bragg is looking to escape.
Bragg is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bragg is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bernard Bragg showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Bragg shoots in and gets a takedown into Sawyer's guard.

Sawyer kicks Bragg off and gets to his feet.

Bragg looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Bragg looking to improve position, pressing down on Sawyer's thigh with his hand. Sawyer seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Bragg paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Bragg's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Sawyer picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
