Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Florentino Olsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Martel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martel takes the fight into the clinch.
Olsen tries to land knees in the clinch but Martel avoids the damage to the body.

Martel gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Martel looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Olsen is looking to improve his position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Martel looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Olsen wants to get back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Martel is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Olsen tries to clinch there but Martel circles away.

Martel throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Olsen was covering up waiting for the punch and Martel finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Olsen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Martel is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Olsen wants to clinch

and Martel moves into the clinch.
Olsen is looking for a takedown.
Martel gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Olsen.
Olsen jumps guard but Martel stands there with Olsen around his waist. Olsen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Florentino Olsen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Martel is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Olsen is defending well for now.

Mike Martel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Olsen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Olsen enables Martel to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Olsen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Martel postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Olsen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Martel, into his guard.

Well Martel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
