Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kenta Kyou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Teixeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyou fails with the takedown

and Teixeira counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Kyou wants to improve his position but Teixeira is controlling well.
Teixeira is keen to just control but Kyou is a slippery customer.
Kyou wants to get back to full guard but Teixeira has passed into side control.
Teixeira wants to control but Kyou is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kyou is looking to regain half guard here but Teixeira keeps moving and retains side control.
Kyou is working hard here to advance position.

Teixeira is working to tighten his grip on Kyou's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kyou has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Teixeira is really squeezing tight and eventually Kyou passes out! Teixeira breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
