Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clement Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isamu Katsurou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clement Ross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Isamu Katsurou!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katsurou lands a body shot.
Katsurou misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ross uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Katsurou.
Ross walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Katsurou misses with a right hand

and Ross counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Ross showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Ross scoring with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ross sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Katsurou's guard.
Ross is taking a breather. Katsurou says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Ross seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Katsurou for as long as he can get away with.

Ross with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Ross's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Ross has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ross decides to stand and escape the position.
Katsurou will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ross uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Katsurou.
Katsurou lunges at Ross with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ross's hand.
Katsurou goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Katsurou throws a body shot but no joy.
Katsurou misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nice cross by Katsurou.

Ross shoots in and bounces Katsurou off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Ross advances position into side control!
Check out the look on Ross's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Ross could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Ross tries for a kimura but Katsurou is defending well.
Ross is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Katsurou's shoulder. That is not cool.

Ross continues to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ross creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Katsurou taking punishment in the form of punches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Katsurou is trying to get back to half guard.
Ross staying calm.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clement Ross dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Katsurou scores with a one two! Ross had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Katsurou swings for the body but Ross moves out of range.

Ross feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ross might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ross gets to his feet - Katsurou follows without any prompting.
Katsurou misses with a double jab.
Katsurou scores with a jab to the jaw.
Katsurou tests Ross's chin there with a solid looking shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Katsurou throws a right and a left that Ross avoids nicely.
Isamu Katsurou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Katsurou misses with a two punch combination.
Katsurou lands a head shot.
Nice takedown defense from Katsurou. No joy for Ross on that attempt.
Katsurou throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Katsurou cracks Ross with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Isamu Katsurou is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Katsurou scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ross tries to move into range but Katsurou moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Katsurou has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Katsurou scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Katsurou sizes up Ross with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

and Ross decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Katsurou's guard.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Ross.
Ross stands and throws Katsurou's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Katsurou can't do much from the bottom here.
Ross remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Ross lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Katsurou down.

Isamu Katsurou showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Ross decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Ross shoots in looking for a takedown. Katsurou tries to sprawl out of it but Ross keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Katsurou manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Katsurou tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ross was well out of range. Poor timing from Katsurou.

Ross takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Katsurou fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ross manages to avoid it.
Katsurou feints a jab promting Ross to slip. Katsurou then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ross slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Katsurou throws a leg kick but Ross moved away.

A nice combination there by Katsurou.
Katsurou moves into range and connects with a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Katsurou lands a really nice looking cross but Ross seems unphased.

Katsurou lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ross at a distance.
A swing and a miss from Katsurou.
Katsurou feints a jab promting Ross to slip. Katsurou then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ross slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Katsurou takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Katsurou lands a head shot.
Katsurou missing with a left hand there. Ross was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Ross gets a double leg takedown into Katsurou's guard.
Ross landing with the ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ross's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Ross's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Clement Ross overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Katsurou is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ross seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Ross has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ross is working Katsurou over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Ross is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Ross works over Katsurou with some ground and pound from guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Isamu Katsurou.
I think Katsurou has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
