Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lucien Park!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Beorn Richt!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Richt has Park up against the cage in a clinch.
Richt lands a nice knee to the body.

Richt looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Park is trying to push Richt away but Richt has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Richt throws a low kick, looking for Park's leg but Park calmly moves out of range.

and Park counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Richt throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Park could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

With the fighters up against the cage, Richt throws an elbow but misses.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Richt throws a leg kick that is checked
and Park counters with a stiff right hand.

Richt has taken the fight to the clinch.
Park managing to block the knees to the body from Richt.
Park on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Richt connects with a knee to the head.


It looks like Lucien Park has been cut.
Richt tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Richt lands an elbow that stopped Park in his tracks for a moment.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Richt can do anything to dispel that myth.
Park slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Park works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Park working over Richt with some ground and pound. Richt looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Park is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Richt!

BOOM! Park connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Park lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Park content just to control the position here.
Park postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Richt looks a forlorn figure.

Park has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Richt's face.
Park controlling the pace for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Park takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Richt has hold of Park's hands but Park slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Park lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Park is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Richt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Park. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Richt wants to control but Park is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Park maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Richt could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Park has cracked it and Richt is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Park!
