Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Manoel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Budo Rei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manoel comes to the cage accompanied by Maresia. Rei has chosen Alice in Chains - No Excuses as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rei wants to land a leg kick but Manoel is out of range.
Rei misses with a head kick.
Manoel was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Manoel takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
It looks like Antonio Manoel has been cut.

Rei throws a leg kick but Manoel checks it.

and Rei makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Manoel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rei swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rei is pulling down on Manoel's head. It's preventing any offense from Manoel, at least for the moment.

Manoel throws a nice looking combination but Rei bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Manoel swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rei.
Rei throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Manoel.

Manoel looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Manoel throws the left hand but Rei avoids the punch easily.
Manoel digs a good hook to Rei's body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Manoel takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Manoel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Rei counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Rei is looking to slow Manoel down with leg kicks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Antonio Manoel dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Manoel on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Manoel is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rei can do to turn this around?

It looked like Manoel wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Manoel! Rei is out on his feet! Manoel rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Rei is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Rei is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Antonio Manoel!
A very excited looking Antonio Manoel made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
