PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ingo Dammaschke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jon Wong is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jon Wong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ingo Dammaschke!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dammaschke misses with a double jab

and Wong counters with a shoot takedown. Dammaschke fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wong seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Wong trying to control the position from guard on top but Dammaschke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wong throws a strike but Dammaschke rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Dammaschke slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Dammaschke pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wong is keeping the position for now.
Wong is trying to control the position but Dammaschke postures up.
Wong could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wong can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dammaschke controls the pace.
Wong is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dammaschke is controlling him.

Dammaschke got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dammaschke has managed to get both his arms back between Wong's legs - danger averted.

It looks like Dammaschke might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Dammaschke drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dammaschke jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dammaschke won't allow Wong to sweep him here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Wong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dammaschke but Dammaschke pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Dammaschke darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dammaschke wants to take a breather but Wong is having none of it.

Dammaschke is keen to just control but Wong is a slippery customer.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Wong keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Dammaschke stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Wong to get to his feet.

Dammaschke bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wong is breathing heavily.
A lull in the action here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ingo Dammaschke dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Dammaschke changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wong looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wong is trying to improve his position.
Dammaschke trying to control the position but Wong is working away.
Wong is looking to regain half guard here but Dammaschke keeps moving and retains side control.
Wong wants to control but Dammaschke postures up.

Dammaschke tries for a kimura but Wong is defending well.

Wong tries to kick Dammaschke off in order to stand up. Dammaschke Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
A lull in the action here as Dammaschke stalls from top position.

Dammaschke decides to stand back up.

Dammaschke moves into the clinch.

Dammaschke turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dammaschke manages to end up in side control.

Dammaschke decides to stand up, so the ref orders Wong to his feet.

Wong looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dammaschke is one step ahead there.
Ingo Dammaschke has got the better of the ground game so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dammaschke has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Wong has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dammaschke is working away from the top position though.

Ingo Dammaschke showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Wong is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Wong is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dammaschke scores with a couple of nice shots.
Dammaschke uses his free foot to push down on Wong's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wong.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dammaschke lands a big shot there that rocks Wong but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The referee warns Wong that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Wong is wriggling around trying to escape.
Wong tries to lock up and control but Dammaschke gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Dammaschke has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Wong's face.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jon Wong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ingo Dammaschke is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Ingo Dammaschke comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dammaschke has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
