Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocco Mcbride (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sid Young has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Young as Mcbride shoots in.

Mcbride forces Young back against the cage and clinches.

Mcbride gets to his feet - Young follows without any prompting.
Mcbride shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Young but Young pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Young is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mcbride can't fight it off and eventually Young manages to take the fight to the floor. Mcbride looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Young wants to get up but he can't break Mcbride's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Young avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Young follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Young tries to pull guard but Mcbride won't allow it.
Young jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mcbride walks away with a smile on his face. Young gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Young changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mcbride looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
