Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phan Tran Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genghis Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dukes of Hazard Theme Song - Waylon Jennings. The crowd seem to be enjoying Khan's choice of entrance music: Nirvana - The Man Who Sold the World. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phan Tran Le!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Genghis Khan!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Le uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Khan has time to react.
Khan motions for Le to come forward. Khan throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Le needs to keep his hands up - Khan had a free shot at his head there.
Le lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Le looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Khan darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
We've been informed that Khan has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Khan throws a big shot that misses.
A little feinted left hand from Le on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A head kick misses from Khan.
Le throws a lazy right hand but Khan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Le comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Khan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Le manages to avoid it.
Le throws a low kick, looking for Khan's leg but Khan calmly moves out of range.

Khan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Le sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Khan somewhat.

Khan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Le throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Khan tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Le tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Khan is able to avoid easily.

Le lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Khan moves in looking to clinch but Le pushes him off.
Genghis Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Khan tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Khan takes a swing at Le's ribcage but misses.

Khan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Le moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Khan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Khan wants to clinch.
Le fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Khan.
Khan will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Khan dives in for a single leg takedown but Le sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Khan moves away from the strike by Le.
Le lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Khan throws a chopping leg kick but Le manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Le connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Khan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Le dips to his left and cracks Khan with an uppercut!
Le uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Khan.

Khan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Le avoids it really well and circles away.
Khan shoots for a double leg takedown but Le sprawls well. He's pushed Khan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Le throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Khan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Khan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Le backwards.

Le is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Khan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Le checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Despite the aggression on Khan's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Le swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Le looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Khan cracks Le with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Le uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Khan.
A quick step to the side and Le tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Khan shoots in looking for a takedown but Le manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Khan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Le is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Le, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
