Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ulf Jensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jazman Frochzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jazman Frochzer has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ulf Jensson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ulf Jensson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jazman Frochzer!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jensson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jensson wants it to stay on the feet.
Frochzer misses with a double jab

and Jensson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Frochzer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jensson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jensson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jensson manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes.
Jensson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Frochzer is working away from the top position though.
Frochzer lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Frochzer wants to pass the guard but Jensson is defending well.

Jensson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Frochzer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jensson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Frochzer, as that shot connected.
Frochzer throws a series of punches but Jensson avoids them all with ease.

Jensson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Frochzer sprawls well initially but Jensson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ulf Jensson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Jensson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Frochzer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jensson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Jazman Frochzer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Jensson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Frochzer defends well and Jensson ends up having to push Frochzer into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Frochzer enables Jensson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Frochzer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jensson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Frochzer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jensson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Frochzer finds it's way round the side to connect with Jensson's head.

My spies in Ironfist MMA inform me that Frochzer has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Jensson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Frochzer stacks Jensson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Frochzer!

Well Frochzer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
