Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ellis Park (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emery Devlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ellis Park!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emery Devlin!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Devlin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Park swivels and escapes.
Park throws a quick counter head kick but Devlin was just out of range.
Devlin misses with an uppercut. Park saw that one coming.

and Park decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Devlin's guard.
Park won't allow Devlin to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Devlin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Park keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ellis Park has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emery Devlin.

Devlin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Devlin goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Park rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Devlin's guard! Nice work there by Park!

Park really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Devlin is looking for a triangle but Park pushes his legs off easily.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Park is trying to pull guard but Devlin has him pressed against the cage.
Park on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Park's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Devlin looks to score with a jab to the body but Park is just out of range.

Park closes the distance and pushes Devlin back into the cage.
Park is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Devlin can do to turn this around?
Devlin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Park walks away with a smile on his face. Devlin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Devlin gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Park is trying to pull guard but Devlin has him pressed against the cage.

Park pulls guard successfully.
Park looking to control.
Devlin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Park is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Devlin tries to free his leg and advance position but Park is retaining full guard.

Park utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Devlin looks for the body kick but Park saw that one coming.
Devlin's corner calls for a 1-2. Devlin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Devlin throws a right hand that Park ducks under and follows up with a left that Park also avoids with ease.

Emery Devlin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Park tries to clinch up but Devlin circles away and keeps his distance.
Devlin is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Emery Devlin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Park thows a huge punch but Devlin dodges it nicely.

Park working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

I think Devlin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
