Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Florentino Olsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kingpin Switz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Florentino Olsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kingpin Switz!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olsen wants to clinch.
Olsen pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Switz moves into range and clinches up with Olsen.
Olsen tries to pull guard but Switz forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Olsen pulls guard effortlessly.
Olsen looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Switz puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Switz is working for a submission of some sort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Olsen is looking for a sweep. Switz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Olsen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Switz stands up and beckons Olsen to join him on the feet.
Switz lets loose with a powerful body kick. Olsen will feel that in the morning.
Switz lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Olsen tries to clinch but Switz is having none of it.

Switz has taken the fight to the clinch.
Olsen misses with some punches.

Switz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Olsen uses from the top position.
Olsen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Olsen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Olsen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Olsen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Switz doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Switz managing to control the position.
Olsen throws an elbow that misses. Switz uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Olsen's guard. Nice move by Switz!

Switz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Switz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Olsen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Switz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Switz wants to control from the top but Olsen keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Switz landing strikes.

Switz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Olsen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Switz is trying to move to mount but Olsen reverses beautifully and ends up in Switz's guard.
Switz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Olsen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Switz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Olsen tries to clinch up but Switz circles away and keeps his distance.

Switz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Olsen quickly recovers to half guard.
Olsen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Switz is working away from the top position though.

Switz seems to be working for a kimura but Olsen defends the submission attempt.
Switz scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Switz is keen to just control but Olsen is a slippery customer.

Switz not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Switz seems to be looking for submissions.

Switz is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Olsen is looking to control Switz's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Olsen avoid being mounted?

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Switz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Olsen!

Switz has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Olsen!
Olsen sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Switz is keen to just control but Olsen is a slippery customer.
Switz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Olsen haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Switz throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Olsen wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Switz.

Switz manages to capitalize on a mistake by Olsen to take his back!
Switz misses with punches from the back.
Olsen has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Switz.
Olsen trying to control the action but Switz just sinks the hooks in.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Switz is trying to stick to Olsen's back but Olsen is turning into Switz. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Switz's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Olsen.
Olsen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Kingpin Switz has got the better of the ground game so far.
Switz tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Olsen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Olsen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Switz throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Olsen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Kingpin Switz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Olsen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Switz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Switz is taking a breather. Olsen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Olsen is trying to stand up.

Switz is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Olsen has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Olsen!

Switz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Olsen defends well.
Olsen is looking to work some ground and pound but Switz has wrist control.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Switz holds on and takes a little breather.
Switz's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Olsen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Switz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Olsen is not content to let Switz control the position.
Switz happy to just control the position for now.

Kingpin Switz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Switz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
