The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Leonardo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bourque's calf.
Leonardo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bourque takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Bourque throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Leonardo's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Bourque dives in looking to finish as Leonardo flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Bourque's strikes! Bourque is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Leonardo's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Leonardo was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
