Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leland Stokes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Frydrych (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stokes moves into the clinch successfully.

Stokes has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Frydrych regains guard immediately.
Stokes stopping the sweep attempt from Frydrych.
Frydrych looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Stokes throwing strikes from guard but Frydrych blocks nicely.
Frydrych preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Frydrych can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stokes is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Frydrych is aware though and is defending well.
Stokes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Frydrych drops back looking for a leg! Stokes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stokes manages to kick Frydrych off! Frydrych jumps back into Stokes's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Stokes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Frydrych on the ground.
Stokes can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Frydrych controls the pace.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Frydrych keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Stokes's head.

Frydrych is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Stokes is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Stokes has escaped and now he's on top!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Stokes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Stokes is trying to push Frydrych away but Frydrych has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
