Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dim Sum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Chavarria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chavarria is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by tom sawyer. Dim Sum has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dim Sum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 12 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marco Chavarria!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavarria connects with a body shot that sends Sum's belly button to the back.
Sum misses with a series of wild punches.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Chavarria! But no joy.
Sum misses with a double jab.
Chavarria misses with a wild combination.
Sum stalks Chavarria and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Chavarria's face. Chavarria staggers backwards, shaken.

Sum gets a double leg takedown into Chavarria's guard.
Sum throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chavarria works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Chavarria wants to stand but Sum is controlling the position.
Sum chips away with some ground and pound.
Sum loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sum works over Chavarria with some ground and pound from guard.
Chavarria looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Sum throws an elbow that misses. Chavarria uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sum's guard. Nice move by Chavarria!

Chavarria stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Chavarria lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sum misses with a looping right.
Sum misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sum is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Chavarria.
Sum loads up on a big right hand but Chavarria slips the punch.
Sum fails to land with a series of punches.
Sum sets himself, and Chavarria steps forward looking for the clinch! Sum avoids it this time.
Chavarria tries to bum rush Sum with a series of wild strikes but Sum uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sum throws a big counter combination but Chavarria scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Chavarria!

Sum shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sum was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sum misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Chavarria defending against the ground and pound.

Sum knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chavarria on the ground.
Chavarria is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Sum creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Chavarria sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Sum tries to score with some ground and pound. Chavarria controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Sum cracks Chavarria with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Chavarria is trying to buck Sum off.
Sum scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Chavarria is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Sum can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
