Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anwar Sadat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tito Santana has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anwar Sadat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tito Santana!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sadat changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Sadat throws the left hand but Santana avoids the punch easily.
Santana takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Sadat connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Santana moves in looking to clinch but Sadat pushes him off.
Sadat shoots in for a takedown but Santana shows good takedown defense.
Sadat scores with a hook to the body. Santana takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Santana gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Sadat.

Sadat is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Santana.

Sadat goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Santana has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sadat but great work by Santana.
Sadat is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at CW's Elite Kung-Fu Academy, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Santana drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sadat manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Santana has Sadat in his guard.

Santana postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sadat is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Santana, into his guard.

Santana has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sadat can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sadat is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Santana is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Santana has escaped and now he's on top!

That was a close second round but I would say that Anwar Sadat will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Sadat lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Santana drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sadat looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sadat looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sadat!

Sadat wants to lay and pray for a moment but Santana keeps working.
The referee asks Sadat politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Sadat prefers to stall for the moment though.
Sadat seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Santana for as long as he can get away with.

Tito Santana has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Santana is controlling an arm, preventing Sadat from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Santana is in all sorts of trouble here.
Santana is squirming around, avoiding Sadat's attempts to control the action.

Well Sadat has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
