Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Tupper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Optimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Optimus Prime will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Optimus Prime!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tupper throws a low kick but Prime avoids it.

Prime closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Tupper's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

and Prime counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tupper thinking.

Prime uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tupper.
Bobby Tupper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Prime shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tupper but Tupper pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Prime scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Prime throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tupper was covering up waiting for the punch and Prime finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Tupper wants to stand and escape but Prime is having none of it.

Tupper manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Prime keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Prime goes for a takedown attempt but Tupper pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Prime is defended easily by Tupper.
Bobby Tupper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Optimus Prime.

Tupper went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Tupper tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Prime paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Prime drives through with a takedown into Tupper's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tupper is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Prime is controlling him.
Tupper might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Prime wants to control from the top but Tupper keeps moving.

Prime drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tupper looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tupper looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tupper!

Prime feints and as Tupper raises his hands in defense, Prime changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Prime manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tupper manages to get himself to full guard.

Tupper wants to stand and escape but Prime is having none of it.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Optimus Prime.
I've got Prime winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
