PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krzysztof Czeplak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Czeplak might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Do przodu Polsko. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Krzysztof Czeplak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Rice!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rice throws a head kick but Czeplak moves out of range.
Czeplak drops down looking for a counter takedown but Rice sprawls and moves away.
Czeplak looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Czeplak avoids the head kick by Rice.
Ray Rice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rice on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Czeplak misses with a body shot
and Rice counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rice is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Czeplak.
Rice gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Czeplak will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Rice thinks about the counter body kick.
Czeplak takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Czeplak throws a one two combo.
A head kick misses from Rice.
Rice fakes the leg kick and cracks Czeplak in the body.
Czeplak takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Krzysztof Czeplak has been cut.
Rice throws a sloppy head kick and Czeplak moves out of range easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Czeplak closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rice circles away.
Czeplak is breathing heavily.
Rice throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Rice scores with a nice right hand.
A punch lands to the side of Czeplak 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Czeplak takes one to the side of the head.

Czeplak is rocked!
Rice looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Czeplak staying out of range there.
Czeplak misses with a two punch combination.
Czeplak throws a hook but Rice avoids it easily.
Rice lands a nice shot to the body.
Rice lands a nice looking body kick.
Rice pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Czeplak is looking for a counter combo.
Rice throws a series of punches but Czeplak moves out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rice cracks Czeplak with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rice has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Czeplak to stand back up!
Rice tries to clinch up but Czeplak circles away and keeps his distance.
Rice ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Czeplak's jaw. Czeplak's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Rice does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ray Rice!
Ray Rice tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
The defeated Krzysztof Czeplak had this to say: 'I would do everything to fight better in the future. '.
