Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thaddeus Anthony!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Edgar!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anthony wants to clinch.
Edgar tries to counter by closing the distance.
Edgar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Anthony manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Edgar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anthony swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Edgar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Anthony moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Anthony really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Edgar closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Anthony did well to prevent Edgar getting side control.
Anthony manages to get to full guard.
Anthony lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anthony decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Edgar fails with an attempt to clinch.

Edgar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Edgar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anthony. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Edgar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anthony keeps working.

Edgar tries to pass the half guard into mount. Anthony knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
It looks like Edgar is going to stand back up.

Anthony is wriggling around but Edgar manages to pass to half guard.

Edgar has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Anthony works to full guard.
Edgar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Anthony manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Edgar manages to get himself to full guard.

Anthony throws a big right hand that misses.

Edgar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Anthony has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Edgar has managed to get both his arms back between Anthony's legs - danger averted.

Edgar wants to control from the top but Anthony keeps moving.

Anthony has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Edgar is on him like a limpet, forcing Anthony back against the cage.

Edgar has clasped his hands together around Anthony's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Anthony might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Edgar is trying to get an arm triangle but Anthony is defending well.

Edgar goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Anthony rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Edgar's guard! Nice work there by Anthony!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Edgar is working an open guard so Anthony takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Edgar tries to clinch but Anthony is having none of it.

Edgar looks to land a combination. Anthony sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Anthony is looking for a triangle but Edgar pushes his legs off easily.
Edgar slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Anthony looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Edgar puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Edgar throwing shots but Anthony is blocking nicely.
Edgar has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Edgar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anthony keeps working.
Edgar might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Anthony haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Edgar is looking for a sweep. Anthony is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Anthony seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Edgar is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
