Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Flavio Canteiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Huynh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Flavio Canteiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Huynh!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Canteiro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Huynh tries to avoid it but Canteiro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Huynh to the ground. Huynh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Canteiro with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Huynh to score with a decent uppercut.
Canteiro tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Huynh manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown attempt by Canteiro or perhaps it was just good defense by Huynh, which made it look bad.

Canteiro tries for a takedown but Huynh sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Huynh lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Canteiro is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Canteiro. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Huynh seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Huynh thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Canteiro's head.
Huynh is stalling here. Canteiro is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Huynh seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Canteiro has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Canteiro has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Huynh is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Canteiro yanks on the arm and Huynh is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Canteiro.
