Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bidon throws out a leg kick but Melendez moves out of range and Bidon only half commits.
Crunch! Bidon slams his shin into Melendez's torso.
Melendez wants to clinch.
Bidon throws a counter combo.
A good leg kick by Bidon.
Nice body kick there by Bidon.
Melendez tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Bidon counters with a one-two to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Melendez avoids the head kick by Bidon.
A head kick misses from Bidon.
An attempted straight right counter from Melendez misses the target.
Bidon throws a right and a left that both miss.
Melendez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bidon paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bidon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Melendez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bidon's waist but Bidon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Melendez off to one side.

Bidon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bidon throws a head kick but Melendez moves out of range.
Bidon lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Melendez backs up against the cage.
Joadson Bidon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Melendez darts in looking for a takedown but Bidon gets double underhooks and turns Melendez into the cage.
Bidon misses with a head kick.

Bidon lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Melendez takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Bidon throws a head kick but Melendez moves out of range.
Melendez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Melendez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bidon paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bidon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bidon scores with a one two! Melendez had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and Bidon counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Melendez falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
