Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kerry Morton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Punka Tuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Punka Tuka has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kerry Morton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Punka Tuka!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tuka darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Morton wants to get back to full guard.
Tuka is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Let's hope that Tuka has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Tuka is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Morton is trying is best to control the position here.
Tuka wants to pass to mount but Morton is defending the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tuka is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Morton has managed to free his arm - good work.

Morton keeping hold of Tuka's head, controlling as best he can.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Tuka clinches with his opponent.

Tuka has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Morton clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tuka keeps control of the position as Morton tries to break free.
Tuka really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Morton.
Morton is trying to get back to his feet but Tuka has full control of the position and if anything, Morton has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Tuka is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Morton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Morton is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Tuka is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Tuka has managed to clinch.
Tuka has Morton pressed against the cage, preventing Morton from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Tuka gets caught flat footed, as Morton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Morton stands and steps away. Tuka gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Tuka fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Morton sprawls well initially but Tuka persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tuka is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Morton preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Punka Tuka has got the better of the ground game so far.

Tuka is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Tuka takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Morton is trying to get back to full guard.
Tuka has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Tuka is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Morton sees it coming and defends easily.

Tuka is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Morton is looking to improve his position.

Tuka is pressing down on Morton's thigh, looking to free his foot. Morton is holding on for now.

Tuka is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Tuka takes the fight into the clinch.

Tuka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Tuka shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Tuka passes the guard and advances to mount!

Tuka tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Tuka is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Morton can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Morton is looking to improve his position but Tuka isn't that keen on the idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Punka Tuka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Morton shoots for a takedown but Tuka saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Tuka gets a clinch.

Tuka manages to pull guard.
Tuka is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Tuka is looking for a triangle but Morton pushes his legs off easily.
Tuka pulls Morton in to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Morton postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tuka is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Morton, into his guard.

Tuka controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Morton wants to sweep here but Tuka controlling him for the moment.
Tuka content to stall in guard here.
Morton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tuka is one step ahead there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Tuka is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Tuka stands up and waves to Morton to follow him.
Punka Tuka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tuka bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Morton is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Tuka moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Morton tries to buck Tuka off but Tuka is having none of it.
Tuka content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Tuka is continuing to stall.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Morton is trying to control Tuka's posture but Tuka avoids it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A good leg kick by Tuka.
Morton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Morton shoots in looking for a takedown but Tuka manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Morton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Tuka shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tuka showed some decent athleticism there.

And that's the end of the fight!
Punka Tuka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tuka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
