Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Kelades (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenny Kelades is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Raymond Daniels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kenny Kelades!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daniels gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Daniels is trying to push Kelades away but Kelades has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Daniels tries to circle away but Kelades has him pinned against the cage.
Daniels working hard to break the clinch.
Kelades has Daniels pressed against the cage, preventing Daniels from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Daniels is trying to break the clinch but Kelades is controlling him.
Kelades changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Daniels fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Daniels tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kelades shoots in for a takedown but Daniels shows good takedown defense.

Kelades shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Daniels defends it nicely.
Raymond Daniels has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenny Kelades.

Kelades drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Daniels gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kelades has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Daniels is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Daniels wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Daniels is looking to break free of the clinch but Kelades has double underhooks.
Daniels has had enough of the clinch but Kelades keeps him there for the moment.

Daniels's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Daniels wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kelades has him pressed against the cage.
Kelades keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Daniels's efforts to push away.
Daniels gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kelades.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Daniels is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Daniels wants to break free but Kelades has control.
Kelades is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kelades wants to take the fight to the mat but Daniels manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Daniels wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Daniels looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Kelades is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Daniels gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Daniels is trying to force a seperation but Kelades has the dominant position.
Kelades wants a takedown but no success here.
Kelades is trying to drag Daniels to the mat but Daniels just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kelades has hold of one of Daniels's legs. Daniels is fighting the takedown attempt but Kelades gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Daniels escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kelades gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Daniels looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Daniels looking to control.

Daniels has his foot on Kelades's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kelades works his way back into a safe position though.

Daniels working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kelades doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kelades manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kelades looking to sit in guard and control but Daniels gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kelades can't keep his opponent in guard - Daniels advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Kelades won't allow Daniels to pass to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Daniels has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Daniels is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Daniels!
