The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corleone throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rush.
Rush fails with the takedown.
Corleone throws out a counter right but Rush avoids it with no problem.
Corleone takes a swing at Rush's ribcage but misses.
Rush lands a jab to the head.
Corleone gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Corleone is trying to control the position but Rush postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rush accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Rush throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Rush missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Corleone looking for a guillotine here but Rush defends easily.
Rush wants to pass the guard but Corleone is keeping the position.
Rush throws a big right hand that misses.
Rush is posturing up here but Corleone has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Rush tries to roll out but it's too tight and Rush has to tap! Slick submission there by Corleone!

After the fight, Vito Corleone was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
