PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Dawes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Doolin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dawes's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, why can't we be friends. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doolin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dawes defends well and Doolin ends up having to push Dawes into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Doolin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dawes as he jumps to the side.
A little feinted left hand from Dawes on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Dawes clinches.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Doolin avoids the elbow strike from Dawes, against the cage.
Doolin fails to pull guard.
Bryan Dawes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonny Doolin.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dawes throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Doolin using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Dawes has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Dawes digs a right hand into Doolin's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Doolin's gas tank.
Doolin is still on wobbly legs! Can Dawes finish him?
Dawes pushes Doolin back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Dawes lands an elbow that stopped Doolin in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Jonny Doolin has been cut.

Dawes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dawes moves in close and cracks Doolin with a massive right hand! Doolin, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Dawes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bryan Dawes!
A relieved looking Bryan Dawes thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Jonny Doolin was interviewed post fight and said 'I have nothing to be ashamed of I gave it my all, I'm a better fighter after this. Im always growing always evolving!'.
