The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barca shoots for a takedown but Reijonen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Reijonen follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Reijonen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Reijonen wants it to stay on the feet.
Reijonen lands with a straight right. Barca didn't see that one coming.

It looks like Hannibal Barca has been cut.
Barca misses with a takedown
and Reijonen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hannibal Barca. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barca shoots in for a takedown but Reijonen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Reijonen finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Barca dives in and grabs Reijonen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reijonen pushes down on Barca's head and hops out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barca tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reijonen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Barca somewhat.
Reijonen let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Reijonen lands a hook that snaps the head of Barca backwards.

Reijonen digs a right hand into Barca's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Barca's gas tank.
Barca has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Reijonen after a bit of a struggle.

Barca has hold of one of Reijonen's legs. Reijonen is fighting the takedown attempt but Barca gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Barca shoots in and bounces Reijonen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've been hearing good reports from Barca's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Reijonen is looking for a sweep.

Barca is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Reijonen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barca has an Americana. Reijonen didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Barca is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Barca hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
